Bob Anderson (President) is chief operating officer of AJ's Auto Repair in Salem, a company he founded with his brother-in-law in 1976. He currently serves as president of NATA. The Oregon Small Business Administration (SBA) named him “2004 Small Business Person of the Year”. His shop received the Governor's Award for Toxic Use Reduction in 1994, and was the first "Eco-Logical Business" in Salem, a distinction honoring leadership in pollution prevention, hazardous waste management, recycling and energy conservation. Other honors the shop has received include 2001 Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, 2001 CARQUEST Excellence Award winner, and 2002 Small Business of the Year by the Better Business Bureau of Oregon and Southwest Washington. Anderson also was appointed by Oregon Senate President Peter Courtney to the Small Business Compliance Advisory Panel (CAP), which increases the effectiveness of Oregon's Air Quality Small Business Assistance program (designed to help small businesses better understand and comply with environmental regulations). He was also appointed by the Governor to serve on the 2006 Vehicle Emissions Task Force.

Jeff Asher (General Director) and his wife Becky are the owners of BC Towing, which is based in Salem and serves the I-5 corridor from Wilsonville to Eugene/Springfield. Jeff holds both an associate's and bachelor's degree, and has worked in the towing industry since 1983. He started BC Towing in 1997 with two trucks, and today the company operates 18 trucks with 21 employees out of two locations (Salem and Tualatin), and has annual sales of about $1.4 million. The company is active with local chambers of commerce, and has received local, state and national recognition and honors based on its modern and well-maintained fleet and its record of customer service, ethical practices and driver training and certification.

Frank Bowen (General Director), 51, is a four-year Navy veteran with a business degree from Portland State University. He has two great daughters (17 and 21). His hobbies are car buff (classics mostly), basketball, scuba diving, hunting, boating, and Harleys.
Frank worked for Corporate NAPA Auto Parts for fifteen years, starting in Portland. Since then, he was General Manager in Anchorage, AL, opening the Distribution Center in 1988; then moved on to San Diego and, lastly, worked in Columbus, Ohio.
Frank left the corporate life in 1996 to buy the Bend, Oregon NAPA store. Since then, he bought the Redmond location in 1999, started the Sisters location in 2002, and purchased the Madras location in June 2007, growing his employees from 14 in 1996 to 60 today.

Ross Bradshaw (Vice President) is general manager of Portland Transmission Warehouse, a distributor of automotive transmission products throughout the Northwest. He has been with the company, which has 19 employees and was founded in 1938 by his grandfather, since 1991. In 2003, the company was named "Small Family Business of the Year" by Oregon State University's Austin Family Business Program; in 2004 it was named "Mass Mutual 2004 National Family Business of the Year" in the under-50 employee category. He is the past president of the Oregon Automotive Parts Association (OAPA). When not working, Bradshaw is the president of the Western Water Ski Museum and for 10 years flew search-and-rescue with the U.S. Air Force Reserves out of the Portland Airbase.

Rick Field (Secretary) is the owner and manager of Salem Transmission Service, Inc., a 5,500-square-foot- facility in Salem with four employees. He became a partner in the business with his father in 1987, and he and his wife Jodi have been the sole owners since 1993. He is an active member of the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA), and has held several local board positions, including president, for NATA (and its predecessor, ASA-Oregon) in the Salem area. He serves on the advisory council for Chemeketa Community College's automotive department, and has taught some night classes on transmissions at the school.

Kurt Garbe (Treasurer) is the owner of Esquire Motors in Northwest Portland, which he operates with his wife, Kathy. He has served as an officer of NATA since its founding in 2001, and prior to that time served as a board member of ASA and the Pacific Automotive Trades Association in Oregon. He has earned the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) degree from the Automotive Management Institute (AMI). His company was founded in 1968, and is now an authorized Bosch Service Center and has earned the "Eco-Logical Business" designation based on its pollution prevention, hazardous waste management, recycling and energy conservation efforts.

Jerry Geiszler (General Director) is the owner of Jerry's Custom Paint & Collision Center in Gresham. He founded the company in 1977 as a restoration shop, but expanded it into a full-service collision repair shop as well. He served as president of the Oregon Autobody Craftsman Association for several years prior to that association merging with two others to form NATA in 2001. He has served on the NATA board since that time. In 1993, the company moved it to its current location in a 10,000 square foot facility.

Jim Jones (General Director) is 57 years old, and was born, raised and currently lives in Salem, Oregon. He has been married to Laurie Jones for 37 years, has two children and four grandchildren.
Jim worked for Standard Stations, Inc. from 1969-1973 as Assistant Manager; Jones Oil Company in Salem, Oregon from 1973-1979 as General Manager; Columbia Sales, Inc. from 1980-1983 as General Manager/General Sales Manager; Quaker State Oil from 1983-1986 as General Manager/General Sales Manager; West Coast from 1986-1990 as National Account Manager; Texaco Lubricants Co. from 1990-1999 as NW Area Manager; and Jones Oil Co. from 1999-present as the President/Owner.
Jim has been involved in the Automotive and Heavy Duty Truck industry for 39 years in sales & marketing. He has also served on the following boards as an officer or director: Oregon Automotive Parts Association, Director; Oregon Petroleum Association, Director/Officer; State of Oregon, Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA), Director; Automotive Advisory Council of Chemeketa Community College, Board Chairman.

Dennis Mattoon (General Director) is Dean of Instruction for Industrial Technology and Apprenticeship Division at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. Before that, he taught a NATEF-certified Automotive Technology Program at Reynolds High School in Gresham. He is a Technical Expert for the Oregon Better Business Bureau for the Automotive Arbitration Board, an Evaluation Team Leader for the Nat’l. Auto. Technicians Ed. Foundation (NATEF), and Chairman, Oregon DEQ Auto Tech Emissions Training Advisory Board.

Ron Reichen (General Director) has been the owner of Precision Auto Body and Paint, Inc. for thirty years, and is an active NATA member. He is a graduate of Portland Community College Autobody Program and serves on the Hillsboro School District Curriculum Advisory Committee and the PCC Autobody Curriculum Advisory Committee. Ron is the President of his Church Board. He also attends the Hillsboro School Board meetings on a regular basis. Ron is a dedicated community member and strong and knowledgeable supporter of the collision industry both nationally and locally. |

Catherine Skiens (General Director) is part owner of RGS Auto & Marine, Inc. in Albany. RGS was founded by her partner Randy Smith in 1987. For the past 20 years, partner Randy Smith has been a member and past chairman of the Linn Benton Community College Advisory Board.
Catherine joined the company in 1997 after working as a commercial banker and as a regional vice president of Key Bank of Oregon. She also served as a Linn County Commissioner, believing that if you want to make the place you live and work better, you need to participate in the community. She is currently a commissioner on the board of the Linn Benton Housing Authority, and was a member of the Albany Chamber Board and their Governmental Affairs Committee, as well as a chairperson of their Youth Leadership group. She is a current member and past Treasurer of the Albany Rotary Club, and several other community involvement groups. She is now semi-retired.
RGS Auto & Marine, Inc. services and repairs cars and boats. The company regularly assists and trains people interested in the automotive industry and strives to make our industry a better place. RGS is part of the Mid-Valley group of shops that meet for lunch the second Tuesday of every month to discuss industry issues and promote the training of students interested in our industry.

Sharree Strausbaugh (Lane County/Southern Oregon Region) and her husband Greg purchased A & M Auto Body in Eugene six years ago from the original owners who opened the business in 1956. She served on the NATA board in 2004. Prior to acquiring A & M, the Strausbaughs had prior business experience outside of the collision repair industry. Under their ownership, A & M has had sales increases each year, and now employs 21 people in a 10,000-square-foot facility. The shop has earned the I-CAR Gold Class designation. The company's towing operation, which started six years ago with about 75 tows per month, recently moved to its own facility and handles 850 tows a month.

Jerry Titus, owner of Portland Service Station Supply (POSSY). POSSY has been involved with the automotive aftermarket as a wholesale parts and equipment warehouse over the past 47 + years. Jerry has owned POSSY for the past 34 years. POSSY was one of the original members of Portland Automotive Trades Association (prior NATA). POSSY services both the independent market and new car dealerships.

Mary Ann Trout is co-owner of Hillsboro Auto Wrecking. She joined the firm full-time in 1988 and does inventory control, data entry, human resources, accounting and safety issues. She has been a member of the Oregon Dealers Advisory Committee, and was elected to serve a second term. Mary Ann was instrumental in passing legislation in 2005 and 2007to improve the auto recycling industry in Oregon. Hillsboro Auto Wrecking has beena fixture in the community since the 1940's. Located on a three-acre site in Hillsboro, the vehicle recycling business is considered a model operation for its environmental practices and compliance.
